Meredith students and a Polk County naturalist explore the butterfly garden at the Saylorville Visitor’s Center. Students also examined rocks that contained fossils from the period when Iowa was under a prehistoric sea.
ELL students from Meredith Middle School participated in a “Meet and Greet” session with Governor Terry Branstad on July 10.
Meredith students test their binoculars before heading out on a bird-watching hike in Jester Park. Later in the day, the students had a fishing competition – girls vs. boys. The girls won by catching two fish. The boys were shut-out.
August 22nd is around the corner and it is time to think about getting your students ready for school! We have been watching the building go from bare ceilings, no windows, and piles of dirt in the cafeteria to a modern, freshly painted, air-conditioned building. We are excited for you all to see the changes! The first day of school is August 22nd and since this is a Wednesday we will dismiss at 12:55.
