Huskies Club
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa (bgcci.org) provides the kids and teens in our community who need us most with a safe, supportive place to be after school and during the summer, structured programs, and caring staff role models. Our highly educated and trained professionals at our seven area club locations give 2,300 members the resources and guidance to graduate high school on time with a plan for the future. Boys & Girls Clubs’ programs help young people achieve academic success, model good character & citizenship, and live healthy lifestyles.
In the 4 years since the Boys & Girls Club at Meredith Middle School opened its doors, the number of kids who attend Club has grown tremendously. The Huskies Club serves over 350 kids ranging from 6th – 12th grades, primarily attending Meredith Middle School and Hoover High School.

Huskies Club Information (Days, Hours, Meals Provided, etc.):
Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., members temps will be checked upon arrival, during lunch, and departure. Parents/members will need to call Program Specialist Kristen Blair (515) 370-5177 when they arrive to let members inside the building. Parents are NOT allowed in the building. DMPS provides breakfast and lunch. Boys and Girls Club provides snack. There is a one-time, annual membership fee of $10.00 for members. Refueling station will be offered in front of Meredith Middle School every Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
