What is IB?

The International Baccalaureate Programme is a nonprofit educational organization that provides professional development and guides schools as they develop students’ intellectual, personal, social, and emotional skills.  The IB works with nearly 5,000 schools around the world developing rigorous curriculum to prepare learners for our increasingly global society.  There are over 1,800 IB World Schools in the United States and 10 programs in Des Moines.  The Primary Years Program is offered at Moore, Walnut Street, Park Avenue, Stowe, and Hubbell Elementaries.  The Middle Years Program is offered at Brody, Goodrell, Merrill, Meredith, and Hoover High School.  The Diploma Program is offered to 11th and 12th graders.
