6th Grade Fund-raises for Colorado Flood Relief

Sixth grade students participated in a study of America’s national parks earlier this fall.  Unfortunately, this was also at the time that tragic flooding hit many of these areas in Colorado.  Taking advantage of this opportunity to have an impact on a place they were studying, the sixth grade classes held a school dance and a hat day to raise funds for the American Red Cross.  On Monday, October 28, three representatives of the sixth grade class turned over a check for $350 to the American Red Cross of Greater Iowa.  This money will help with the ongoing relief efforts in Colorado.
